On Thursday, March 21, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Central Lincoln County YMCA, 525 Main Street in Damariscotta, New Ventures Maine, CEI, Habitat for Humanity and other housing experts will present a free panel discussion on how low- to moderate-income midcoast residents can become homeowners with financing terms that are affordable.

Topics covered will include how to prepare for homeownership; how to partner with Habitat for Humanity; affordable financing options, including the MaineHousing Mortgage; and the Family Development Account 4:1 matched savings program. The program will offer resources for people who are ready now to become a homeowner as well as for people who want to start planning for future homeownership.
