Georges River Land Trust’s 28th annual Gardens in the Watershed tour will take place on Sunday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., rain or shine. Attendees will visit five gardens in Union, Warren and Appleton. Gardening experts will speak at two of the gardens on the tour: Jean Vose, of Knox Lincoln County Beekeepers, will talk about pollinators, and Rick Sawyer, of Fernwood Gardens, will speak about shade gardens — particularly hostas.

Attendees are invited to preorder lunch, catered by Home Kitchen Café. Raffle tickets are on sale for $10 each, or $50 for six chances to win a variety of items and experiences, including a flight with Penobscot Island Air; a full-moon kayak tour for two with Port Clyde Kayaks; a pair of earrings from Michael Good Gallery; a stay at 250 Main Hotel; a private tasting party at Fiore Olive Oils and Vinegars; and a long-weekend stay at a cottage on the Sheepscot River in Somerville.

Tickets, $27 ($25 GRLT members), and brochures are now available at Brambles in Belfast; Planet Toys in Camden; The Grasshopper Shop, Eastern Tire and Auto Service and Georges River Land Trust office in Rockland; Plants Unlimited, Green Thumb, and Guini Ridge Farm in Rockport; Hedgerow in Tenants Harbor; and Common Market in Union. Tickets and lunches can also be purchased online at georgesriver.org. Tickets will be available for $30 (cash or check only) on tour day at any of the garden sites.
