Irish Folk Artist at the Strand May 17 —

Jarlath Henderson, a multi-instrumentalist balladeer and three-time All-Ireland Champion piper, will take to the stage of the Strand Theatre in Rockland on Friday, May 17, at 7:30 p.m. He will be joined by Innes Watson (fiddle, guitar) and Duncan Lyall (double bass). Henderson, who is from County Armagh in Northern Ireland, began playing the uilleann pipes at age 10. He combines modern, rhythmically intense, percussive electronics with his traditional singing style and also plays whistle, flute and cittern.
